If
a laid-back, relaxing beach
vacation is just what you’re dreaming of, then look no further than our
appropriately named townhome, “A Beach Break,” on
beautiful Cape San Blas. You will feel rejuvenated after spending time
along Florida’s "Forgotten Coast;" strolling along our pristine
beaches,
splashing in the rolling waters and lingering to admire our spectacular
sunsets. Bring the family dog, too, because Cape San Blas is famous for
its
pet-friendly beach. “A Beach Break,” located in the gated townhome community of SeaCliffs near the entrance to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, overlooks a community pool and children’s playground and has a lovely gulf view from our second-floor balcony and third-floor screened porch. A three-story, quiet end unit, our amenities include 2 master bedrooms with large closets (one with a king bed, one with a queen bed), a bunk-bed nook that’s perfect for the younger set yet comfortable enough for adults, and a queen-size pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room area. The 2½ bath unit was redecorated in December 2006 to provide vacationers with a comfortable, relaxed feeling with warm colors and tropical prints. The spacious eat-in kitchen provides seating for six at the table plus seating for four more at the bar. From the kitchen bay window, you'll enjoy another beautiful view of the dunes and trees. There are many more interior and exterior photos of "A Beach Break" in our Photo Album. |

And
what about the
beach? Our award-winning sugar sand beaches are just a 90-second walk
away over the community boardwalk. Leave your chairs on the beach and
enjoy the freedom of
moving between the townhouse, the pool, and the beach with only a brief
stroll. Nearby you'll find the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, rated America's
Best Beach
in 2002 by
Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman, otherwise known as Dr. Beach. The Cape has also
been rated the #1
Dog-Friendly Beach in the USA by K9 Magazine. We accept two small
dogs or one medium-sized dog for an additional pet fee.Another bonus is Cape San Blas’ prime location between the Gulf and St. Joseph Bay. Fishermen have the best of both worlds: surf and deep-sea fishing in the Gulf, and fishing and scalloping in the calmer Bay. And if your family is tired of the beach, wading in the waters of the Bay searching for scallops and hermit crabs is a great family-oriented activity. Bird-watching along the scenic Bay is always a thrill with egrets and herons plentiful. Horseback riding on the beach, chartering a pontoon boat to explore the Bay, riding bicycles, sea kayaking on the Gulf or Bay, and playing a championship 18-hole golf course on the mainland provide even more options for fun and relaxation. |

"A
Beach Break" is bright, clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped
because we want it to feel like your own home; our many repeat guests
appreciate it, and we know you will, too. Don't just take our word for
it, read our guestbook
for ratings and comments from previous guests. Here's a sample:I
write with a heavy heart, as I do not want to leave. Our family has
had the most wonderful time this week. The townhome had everything we
needed & the location just perfect. We had plans to visit Panama
City, but could not bring ourselves to leave! Our three small children
had a blast. After visiting much busier beaches before here, we now
realize we were missing out on a true vacation. We hope to make
this an
annual event for our family. Thanks for sharing this gem with us.
We provide free WiFi
-- bring your laptops -- and free long-distance, because we know from
experience that cell-phone coverage is spotty at the Cape and you'll
want to keep in touch during your stay. Check our our location on Google
Maps; from there, you can get driving directions to "A Beach Break"
and Cape San Blas from anywhere in the USA. Try clicking on the
SATELLITE button and zooming in to get a bird's-eye view of our area of
the Cape.-
Angie & Family, Georgia
Although you'll find drinks, gas, beach and fishing gear, bike and kayak rentals, souvenirs, convenience store items and several restaurants on the Cape, we always make a few trips to Port St. Joe -- the nearest large town and 18 miles away on the mainland -- for its restaurants, main-street-style shopping, full-service marina, hardware store, pharmacy, and especially its grocery store. To the east on US-98, you'll find historic Apalachicola 30 minutes away, with its many wharfside seafood restaurants, and St. George Island is less than an hour's drive. To the northwest on US-98, you'll encounter picturesque Mexico Beach 30 minutes away, and the lights and amusements of Panama City are an hour's drive away if you can't resist. You can find more information on nearby attractions, current events, and facilities at Gulf County Tourism. |
